The waves roll in.

Deep within some unreachable, unknowable part of the Resonite Abyss, a small island rests atop its boundless ocean. Although the sky above is a brilliant shade of blue, its surface is coated in shadow, as if a setting star had vanished behind some invisible range of mountains far beyond the horizon.

Jagged, towering fangs of black stone rise above the island's center, curving inward, distorted. They flicker with faint pulses of light, reflecting the dance of the small, energetic campfire they surround whose flames flicker from blue to violet and back again. Steady streams of prismatic, crystallized smoke drift into the air, catching and reflecting the firelight in all directions.

The waves roll in.

A slight, insistent swirl of wind carries out to sea as a faraway expanse of black comes into view on the horizon, out from behind one of the black stones. The flames, too, are ever so faintly drawn in its direction, their crystalline smoke drifting endlessly towards the dark, distant sphere.

The island itself is a vessel, energized in perpetuity by the gravitational waves the black hole on the horizon and the island emit against one another. The dark anomaly maintains an orbit around the island's core, the former locked in place by the powerful will of the soul that resides within the latter.

The waves roll in.

The four truths of the Resonite Abyss--Soul, Mind, Life, and Fury--blend together here, at the singularity: Resonance. Though separate forces, they cannot exist without eachother, and together their power is nigh indomitable. Nowhere is that more apparent.

The crashing of the endless sea against the island's shoreline echoes the energy surging through it. Though it radiates untold power, an aura of serenity envelops the island and its surrounding expanse of sky as the music of its Resonite whispers into eternity.

The island's lone inhabitant sits by the firelight, and hums another melody.
