The Horizon of the Resonite Abyss causes reality to break down the closer one approaches.

In addition to its characteristic gravitational lens, every rotating black hole carries as a shroud a region of spacetime known as an Ergosphere, in which traditional concepts of 'spatial orientation' become a whirlpool--the absolute gravitational hold an object of this magnitude has on its surrounding reality causes the normally relatively-linear grid of World Lines to twist into a spiral.

The energy required to maintain a stable orbit around a Singularity by counteracting this orientative distortion increases exponentially--eventually, all things fall away save for the light from distant stars, culminating in a region understood as the last stable photon orbital.

The night sky comes alive here, in this celestial limbo. Stars race across the sky, their trajectory divided into two images flying past eachother in retrograde, shifting the hues of their incoming light as any possible observers are flung around the orbit at relativistic speeds.

For those crossing the Horizon with purpose, the ethereal beauty of this stasis lasts mere seconds.
